General Disposal Guidelines
What Items Are Accepted for Regular Trash Collection?
Acceptable waste will vary by location, but we have a general guide below.
Acceptable Items
- Household Trash: Regular waste items that fit within the provided 96-gallon trash cart.
- Bulk Items (Scheduled Collection): Items like small furniture, bicycles, and carpets (must meet specific size requirements).
- Non-Hazardous Debris: Ensure no items are prohibited or contain hazardous materials.
Unacceptable Items
AJB does not accept hazardous materials in regular trash or recycling. Prohibited Hazardous Items include:
- Chemicals, such as cleaners and solvents
- Freon items (refrigerators, air conditioners)
- Liquid paint and oils
- Tires
